Founded in late 2012 by crowd-funding flights of compassion with unused travel miles, a 100% volunteer organization, Give A Mile celebrated a big “300 flights (and counting..)” milestone in early 2017.

When Tracy wrote from Calgary to describe her mother-in-law Charlene, she talked about how important Grandma had been to their three boys, her boundless generosity towards others, and how much of an example of strength she had been for Tracy personally.

We at Give A Mile would like to share this extra-special story, also a major milestone for our organization: our 300th flight.

Traditionally Christmas is a time that people are mindful of their blessings and in a giving mood. At Give A Mile we set flight-raising and fundraising goals for our annual Christmas Campaign and we count on your generosity.

The Pyke family’s story is compelling. In 2012 father Phillip came to Alberta for a great job to support the family of six, including a daughter with a health-related disability.
