At Give A Mile we are surrounded and supported by amazing people. This includes our volunteers, donors, flight recipients, the communities in which we are involved, and our Corporate Partners.
Give a Mile is a 100% volunteer, 100% donation driven not-for-profit organization, and 100% of loyalty point donations go towards making flights of compassion happen. Our Corporate Sponsors are critical to helping support the travel fees (taxes, transfers, etc.) associated with every flight. We could not do it without them.
One of our most exciting partnerships over the past year has been with Flight Centre Canada. Beginning with support of Picnic in the Park in 2015, and then sponsoring Flight Hero campaigns in December that helped two families visit loved ones during trying times; as a corporation Flight Centre has already contributed in very meaningful ways. There is personal involvement as well with Dan Godsell, a part of Flight Centre’s Corporate group, involved on the Give A Mile leadership team and a constant volunteer.
We are happy to say the support and compassion of Flight Centre continues to grow. This valued partner committed this month to helping 20 recipients visit their loved ones by donating the fees associated with each of these flights of compassion.
