We are never prepared to say goodbye to a loved one. For Rachelle, she didn’t think the day would come this fast. When she heard word that her dad moved into hospice suddenly, her wish was to see him one last time. Unable to afford a flight, the hospice nurse suggested she apply to Give a Mile.
Rachelle wrote: “I am my dad’s youngest child and only daughter. We have a really special connection. He is a super hero. A few months ago we started talking a little bit more about life, just going a little deeper and I felt like I was learning so much more about him than I had ever known. It was really beautiful.”
After meeting the criteria, Give a Mile was able to grant a gift of compassion to Rachelle to see her dad one last time thanks to the help of our donors.
