Reunited For A Final Christmas

Flight Story #1229

Flights #1231, #1232 and #1233 Terrace, BC to Vancouver, BC $2,675.24 CAD
When 3-year-old Onyx was tragically diagnosed with a brain tumour in October of 2024, he was given a limited life expectancy and was flown from Terrace, BC to BC’s Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, 1,400 km away, his parents Lachelle and Aaron by his side.
Although Onyx is undergoing treatment, it is unlikely that he will ever return home to Terrace.
Lachelle and Aaron, needing to focus on Onyx, had to leave behind their three young children in the care of Aaron’s parents, Jennifer and Mark.
Thank you for even helping can't appreciate it enough!

Kovu 8, Draco 6 and Ozzy 1 were suddenly separated not just from their brother, but from their parents as well. As difficult as this separation is, it seems more significant at Christmas time and Lachelle longed to reunite Onyx with his brothers for a couple of weeks over the holidays.
Unable to work as they sit by their son in his hospital bed in Vancouver, flights for the three boys were out of their reach.
When the Social Worker from the Oncology unit at the BC Children’s Hospital reached out to Give A Mile, we knew we had to find a way to reunite this family.

Every donation helps people reach their loved ones for one last hug, smile, and farewell.
