“The love between a grandmother and granddaughter is forever”, unknown. Muriel has not seen her two young granddaughters in 3 years. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, Muriel had one final wish, to see her two young granddaughters before she passes.
Unable to afford a flight on her own, her palliative care nurse recommended that Muriel and her daughter Theresa apply to Give a Mile to see if her final wish could be fulfilled.
Theresa wrote in: “This is my mom she’s always doing for everyone else and does nothing for herself so this is something I want to fulfill this dying wish so please help me with this wish thank you for listening to all best of wishes.”
After meeting the criteria, Give a Mile was able to gift Muriel and Theresa flights of compassion to fulfill Muriel’s final wish.
Theresa wrote back: “First and foremost thank you for helping me to get my mom to see her youngest granddaughters before we have to say goodbye to her.”
