When Kimberly learned that her son Nathan was in the Intensive Care Unit, nothing mattered more than getting to him as quickly as possible.
The situation was urgent.
In her application, Kimberly shared only a few words about what this flight meant to her:
“Getting to him ASAP.”
Like many families facing a medical crisis, she was also dealing with financial challenges. Living on a low income, the cost of last-minute travel created an additional barrier at an already difficult time.
