No matter how far away we are from our parents, we always want to be able to say goodbye to them. For Brandy, when she received word her dad’s cancer was terminal, she knew she needed to be by his side. Unable to afford a flight for her and her son to say their goodbye’s, her dad’s Hospice Director suggested they apply to Give a Mile.
Brandy wrote: “I would give anything to have the chance to say goodbye to my dad. And he would give anything to see his grandson one more time.”
After meeting the criteria, Give a Mile approved flights of compassion for both her and her son to say goodbye for the final time.
