When we live apart from our parents and hear their health is not doing well, we’d do anything to be there by their side. For Sandra, when she heard word that father’s health was deteriorating, she knew she needed to be by his side. Unfortunately, she is unable to afford a flight ticket. Her father’s case manager recommended Sandra apply to Give A Mile.
Sandra wrote: “I know that whenever me and my father hang up he just breaks down because he wants me to know how much I really mean to him and he wants to hold my hand and tell me he loves me one last time.”
With the help of our donors, Give A Mile was able to gift Sandra a flight of compassion so she could see hold her father’s hand one final time.
The social worker wrote in: “You all are INCREDIBLE!! Thank you so so much, this was so important to the patient and his family.”
