Imagine living in different parts of the country than your cherished loved ones and not being able to afford a flight to see them for almost two decades. That was a reality for Belen and her sister. But when Belen learned her beloved sister had colon cancer and was in hospice, she immediately reached out to Give A Mile.
She wrote:
“I love my sister dearly but haven’t seen her in nearly 18 years because we live so far apart. I really want to see her before she passes.”
After meeting the criteria, thanks to our generous donors Give A Mile was able to grant Belen a flight of compassion to allow her to see her sister one final time.
Belen shared this lovely photo and wrote: “I just wanted to thank the Give A Mile organization for the help and opportunity to see my sister.”
