When Val learned that her sister, Dorinda, was facing a critical health situation and receiving care in Prince George, she knew she needed to be there. Distance and travel costs stood in the way and she would need help to make the trip possible.
Travel, however, wasn’t simple. Valerie lives on a limited income and has her own health concerns, which made arranging a flight on her own impossible. She reached out to Give A Mile, hoping that somehow she could make it to Prince George to be with her sister and support the rest of her family.
When she received the news, her gratitude was immediate and heartfelt.
