At this time last year a young family had received an early Christmas gift: their 5-year old daughter Arya was selected for clinical drug trials to fight brain cancer, in Pittsburgh, PA.

Aggressive targets were set for the Give A Mile holiday campaign at the end of 2019. We were successful in awarding 49 flights and raising an additional 1.3 Million travel miles and cash donations that help us to pay taxes and fees.

One of Give A Mile‘s frequent supporters is Pig and Duke in Calgary, and their owners Stephen and Jo had long wanted to organize a gala event to fundraise for Give a Mile.

What could be more compelling or more about holiday spirit than a story involving a young man? Harold from Calgary wrote to Give A Mile with a story of his 14-year old grandson Elijah in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario.
