Jessie and her mother had lost years to separation, only recently finding their way back to each other. Now, time was running out again. She needed to be there, to share precious moments, to say the words left unsaid. And just as importantly, she wanted her mother to have the chance to hold her grandson one last time.
Because of the generosity of Toronto Pearson Airport, Jessie was able to make the trip to Vancouver to say goodbye to her mother—but she didn’t travel alone. Her six month old baby, Darrin, was in her arms.
Thanks to this generous donation, Jessie was able to bring Darrin to her mum, letting her meet, love, and cherish her grandson in her final days.
Thank you Toronto Pearson Airport. You didn’t just provide a flight—you gave a mother and daughter a final goodbye, and a grandmother the gift of one last embrace.
