The need to be present has been weighing heavily from afar. Elizabeth shared that her father, David, is living with a serious, life-limiting condition that has progressed to the point where he is no longer safe living on his own. His health and memory have been changing, and the family has been working through how best to support him during this stage of his life.
From Australia, Elizabeth has been doing everything she can to help coordinate care and resources for her dad. She shared how difficult it has been to support her sister from such a distance, knowing that her father now needs more daily support and a safer living environment. Being there in person would allow her to help with next steps and ensure he is cared for with dignity towards the end of his life.
Traveling internationally, however, was not something Elizabeth could manage on her own. She shared that she is supporting her household on a very limited income. The cost of a long-distance flight was simply beyond reach.
Thanks to the generosity of Toyota on the Park, this journey became possible. Elizabeth was able to travel to be with her father and family during a time when guidance, support, and presence mattered deeply.
