Danielle shared that her fiancé, Diego, who has already been through a long and difficult health journey, began experiencing sudden and serious complications that required intensive care. Doctors arranged for him to be transferred to Vancouver for a higher level of support, and Danielle knew she needed to be there as things unfolded.
Danielle explained that she and Diego have been together for twelve years. She described him as kind, gentle, and deeply loved by everyone who knew him. When his condition changed so rapidly, being separated from him was not something she could accept.
With a modest income and no way to cover last-minute travel, Danielle reached out to Give A Mile for help. Thanks to the generosity of Toyota on the Park, it was possible for her to follow Diego to Vancouver and remain by his side during this uncertain time.
After her flight was approved, Danielle shared her gratitude, writing:
