Allison’s father was bravely facing his final weeks with an inoperable brain stem tumor that had rapidly taken away his vision, speech, and mobility. Allison and her family live across the country from her parents, and she has longed for a chance to visit them even before her father’s diagnosis. Every passing day was a reminder of how precious their remaining time is, and now, thanks to the generosity of Give A Mile donors, she’s finally able to bring her three young boys—Ayden, Connor, and Ethan—to New Brunswick for one last visit.

Her father has been her rock, her best friend, and her role model. From sharing hockey games and coffee to working on countless projects together, they share an unbreakable bond. Now, with this journey, she and her boys have the chance to make a few more memories with their Papa.
For Ayden, Connor, and little Ethan, this visit is an opportunity to see their beloved Papa in person, to feel his warmth, and to hear his voice up close one last time. They’ve spent hours on FaceTime with him every week, sharing laughs and stories, and even though distance has kept them apart, their love has never wavered.
For Allison, this journey is a chance to present—to say goodbye to her father, and thank him for all the love and guidance he’s given her. Thanks to the generosity of Give A Mile donors, Allison and her children will have the opportunity to spend time with the man who’s been everything to them.
