Abigail wasn’t given a lot of time after hearing that her Nana’s cancer had spread, and that her time was limited, to find a way to go and say goodbye.
With two small children and a limited income, it seemed an impossible task to be able to go and say goodbye to the woman who had raised Abigail.
Desperately searching online she found Give A Mile and completed an application for a free flight. Her fiancé was willing to care for her young children while she made her pilgrimage to say goodbye.
Abigail shared with us that her Nana had raised her for most of her life. Abigail said “She has been my everything I can’t stand the thought of me not getting to see her and hug her before she passes. Please help”
Thanks to our generous donors, Abigail was able to make the final trip that was so important to her. She was able to say goodbye to someone who had always been there for her, just as she was now there for her Nana.
