For Chantal, this flight meant returning home to be with her mother, Gloria, during a deeply important time. In her application, Chantal shared that her mom’s health has been declining and that she is now receiving hospice care. Living far away, Chantal explained how difficult it has been to be apart while knowing time together is limited.
With many financial obligations and limited flexibility just before the holidays, Chantal was unable to afford the cost of travel on her own. Still, she hoped for the chance to spend meaningful time with her mother and be present with her during this stage of her illness.
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, Chantal’s flight was approved. When she received the confirmation, she replied with heartfelt gratitude, writing:
“AWESOME THANK YOU — what a blessing this is.”
Because of Give A Mile donors, Chantal was able to travel home and be with her mom when it mattered most.
