Help Raise Awareness For Jamie's Flight Hero Campaign By Sharing On Your Social Channels!

Jamie Sullivan

Flight Hero

I’m becoming a Flight Hero because every family deserves the chance to say goodbye to a loved one. Give A Mile makes it possible for families who can’t afford last-minute flights to be there during life’s most critical moments — to hold a hand, to share final words, and to find closure. By raising 60,000 miles/$1,200, we can fund one flight that gives someone that chance.
Most of us have been lucky enough to have had that moment — to tell a family member or close friend that we loved them one last time. Give A Mile exists to make sure that opportunity isn’t limited to those who can afford it, giving everyone the chance to have that same meaningful goodbye.
Let’s raise 60,000 miles of hope – one donation, one story, one connection at a time.

When donating, please dedicate your donation to your Flight Hero so that we can ensure it matches this campaign.

We update our donor list every 24 hours to reflect your amazing support.

Donations will be displayed in miles/points.

Cash donations are converted (for the campaign) at a rate of $0.02 to one point – for example, if you donate $20.00, it will be displayed as 1,000 points.

How Aeroplan Donations Work

Air Canada’s Aeroplan is our primary partner for flights. Click the link below, fill in your donation details and hit ‘Donate’ to arrive at the Give A Mile page of Aeroplan’s Donate Points program.

Then simply log in with your Aeroplan credentials and choose the amount of miles you wish to donate. Aeroplan Points donations are not tax deductible.
Minimum Aeroplan Donation is 1000 Miles.

How Cash Donations Work

Cash donations allow Give A Mile to make flights of compassion happen, and also to cover travel-related taxes and fees that must be paid in cash. Your monetary donation is tax deductible and encouraged as it’s the most efficient way to support our cause.

Your cash donation helps cover travel fees and makes flights happen! Canadian Donations (via CanadaHelps) – A tax receipt is provided for donations.

US Donations (via GoFundMe): All donations receive a tax receipt. Simply complete the donation form,, and Give A Mile will instantly receive your gift.

Did You Know You Can Pledge Your Loyalty Miles and Points?

You can pledge your other airline miles or various loyalty points and rewards to help Give A Mile make these flights of compassion happen.
When we receive your pledge, we will contact you to discuss how to collaborate to create a life-changing experience for your flight recipient.

For a helpful contribution, the smallest donation should be the price of a one-way flight in the country.

Our team of experts in travel rewards and reservations will help you get started.

Pledge a Flight – How It Works

If you’d like to pledge loyalty miles/points that are not Aeroplan or MileagePlus®, you must pledge a full flight as we are unable to transfer those miles or points. Your pledged miles or points will be
committed and used only when enough are collected for a flight. Our
booking agent will contact you when we are ready to use your pledge.
