Soaring living costs are preventing families from reaching dying loved ones, leading to a surge in applications for our flight program.

Like Jerry and his mom. Before Christmas last year, Jerry was told his mother only had 6 months to live since chemotherapy and surgery hadn’t worked for her cancer. Then she’d had a stroke and was deteriorating quickly. Jerry needed to be by her side, but unfortunately he and his wife, Diane, couldn’t afford a flight. After meeting the criteria, Give A Mile granted Jerry and Diane flights.

Diane wrote: “We can’t even begin to tell you how much we appreciate this opportunity. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you all for your time and efforts and commend your initiative.”
