When Amy learned that her father was hospitalized in the ICU in critical condition, she knew she needed to reach him as soon as possible. She shared that her father was very unwell, and being by his side during this time was deeply important to her.
Travel, however, felt impossible. Amy had been off work due to a workplace injury and explained that her finances were “extremely tight” even for daily living. and she had no way to afford a last-minute flight to Prince George.
Thanks to the generosity of Tony’s donation, Amy’s flight was approved. After her flight was booked she sent a message of gratitude to the team:
