When Taylor received a call from his sister’s doctor sharing that Mattison’s health had taken a serious turn, he knew he needed to reach her as soon as possible. She had been in hospital for weeks with almost no visitors, and Taylor wrote that the thought of her being alone during this time was heartbreaking.
Taylor and Mattison have always shared a deep connection shaped by years of challenges, change, and care. After losing their mother ten years ago, it has been just the two of them. Taylor shared that even through difficult times, the love he has for his sister never wavered, and being at her side now mattered more than anything.
Traveling, however, felt impossible. As a self-employed personal trainer, he would lose income while away, and the cost of a last-minute flight was more than he could manage on his modest yearly earnings.
Thanks to Tony Janusky, Taylor’s flight was approved. This allowed him to reach his sister’s bedside, offer comfort, and ensure she was surrounded by love when she needed it most.
