For Candace, this visit meant everything. Her father, Robert, has been receiving end-of-life care, and she shared that being with him now is one of the most important things she could do. In her application, she wrote that her dad is “my life and world,” a loving father and a joyful “Pop Pop” to her children — someone who has always brought smiles to the people around him.
Candace had no way to afford the flight she needed. Supporting two people on a very limited income, she reached out to Give A Mile hoping she could be with her father while he was still able to visit and talk with her.
Thanks to the generosity of Toyota on the Park, Candace’s flight to Moncton was approved. When she received the news, she wrote:
“Thank you again so much for everything — your help and support is greatly appreciated. It truly means the world to me.”
This journey gives Candace the chance to sit with her father, offer comfort, and be present during a meaningful and tender time in their family’s life.
