My husband was diagnosed with Lymph node cancer in his groin in may of this year. they removed a litre of pre cancerous fluid from him at that time which left a wound that would not heal. After 4 surgeries a vac pac system was finally decided upon to help heal and drain the wound. this idea failed.  We spent 8 weeks here at the hospital in Terrace trying to make it work, He was transported to VGH on August 13th 2016 and will be thee for several weeks. During all this he has lost his memory twice due to infection, nearly had kidney failure as well as multiple infections. He has also become temporarily immobile but is receiving therapy to help with that. We are not very well off financially as i am currently on the wait list for knee replacement surgery so i have been without an income for over a year. I just want to be able to see him for a few days so he isn’t alone and to be in the loop with the doctors. He is a good man and right now he feels totally alone as i am here and his children and grand children are in Manitoba. We are desperate for help.
