My son and I would like to come to Edmonton Alberta to be with Aurora Regular who is my 5 year old granddaughter. Currently Aurora is in the Pediatric Intensive Care unit as she is in acute liver failure. Aurora will be going for a transplant tomorrow and the doctor’s are unsure if she is going to make it through the surgery but we are hopeful as she is a very strong little girl. My wife Sandra, grandmother to Aurora and Aurora’s mother are at the bedside and we would like to be with them to provide support through this very difficult time. If Aurora makes it through the transplant tomorrow she will still be required to be in Edmonton for 3 months post transplant. We are hoping to be in Edmonton for one week to be with our loved ones at this very stressful time.
I would like to come to Edmonton Alberta with my Dad Mike Gadd. My wife Sandra, grandmother to Aurora, and Aurora’s mother are at the bedside and we would like to be with them to provide support through this very difficult time. We are hoping to be in Edmonton for one week to be with our loved ones at this very stressful time. The doctor’s told my sister, Aurora’s Mom that parents of children admitted to hospital are expected to remain at the bedside to participate in medical treatment plans, provide consent for procedures, and surgeries that may be required, and to gain understanding or teaching of discharge plans. My family members who are in Edmonton are experiencing significant emotional, physical, and financial strain related to Aurora’s admission. We are hoping to be with Aurora’s Mom in Edmonton to reduce care giver burn out and provide any support that she needs while Aurora is in the intensive care unit.
