A Message From The Flight Recipient:

I am writing on behalf of a family who’s baby was born at 26 weeks gestation on July 31 in Williams Lake, was air-ambulanced to Vancouver, and admitted to the NICU since. His parents arrived with him in the air-ambulance. Baby’s name is Ryson and his parents are PatrickĀ  and Shelly. Baby Ryson has 3 older siblings, 2 of whom have autism. The family lives in Quesnel. Shelly had a difficult course post-delivery with infections and was admitted to hospital for a few weeks. Patrick has been here to support her and baby. Patrick and Shelly have not been home for almost 3 months. Patrick has not been able to work and has been receiving employment insurance benefits that has reduced their family income significantly. He has to return home to work and Shelly would like to go home and see her other 3 children, as she has not seen them for almost 3 months. I am wondering if Give a Mile would consider providing a one-way flight for Patrick and Shelly to return home to Quesnel.
