A Message From The Flight Recipient:
Mr. Henry is a 41-year-old male diagnosed with aggressive and metastatic pancreatic cancer. In November 2018 he was informed of the advancement of his disease and was told that his cancer is incurable. He is a refugee from Haiti and has settled in Montreal with his wife and two young children (15 months old and 3 years old). Unfortunately, he had to leave his two eldest children behind in Haiti under the care of his sister. The eldest children, 8 years old and 6 years old, are hoping to spend the holiday season with their parents. Mr. Henry has applied for a visitor’s visa but has been refused because he was not able to purchase the plane tickets for his children. We are hoping the support from Give A Mile may be able to reunite this family this holiday season. This year will be one of the most difficult of their lives, but we are hoping that being together will provide comfort during this difficult time. We are in the process of completing a new visitor’s visa application. We are hoping that the support from your organization will assists us in acquiring a visa. Thank you.
