I was born on the same day as my Mother, she is the best Mom in the world.  In early July of this year she went to the doctor for a small pain in her side.  Shortly after some testing, she was diagnosed with a large tumor on her liver and stage four lung cancer.  It stopped my entire world.  She sought treatment over several months but there is nothing left to try and she was told to go see whomever should would like to see.  The average life span of people with my Mom’s disease is five months.  My Dad took my Mom to our home town 4200 kms away at her request.  My Dad is still trying to get her some help through natural therapies and they are expensive.  She is now bed ridden, jaundiced and very fatigued.  I am a full time student taking my bachelor of science.  I also work full time but the wage is low and money is tight.  I deeply need help getting to my Mom.  My Dad told me about your wonderful organization and the reasons above are why he wrote.  I cannot write what I felt when my Dad called me and told me I was accepted by Give A Mile.  Thank you so much for doing what you do and directly being a part of getting our family back together during this unexpected and difficult time.  Bless you all!
