Last night at work I received the worst call from my brother, our Nanny (grandmother) had a massive brain bleed on Thursday. When no one in the family heard from her in a few days my Aunt went to her house on Saturday at supper and found her on the ground. She called 911 and they were rushed to the hospital. The bleed was too massive and the swelling to severe to do surgery. They have moved her to palliative care and are keeping her comfortable until she passes.

You will never meet a more caring and loving grandmother in your life. Us grand children were her life, she would do absolutely anything for us, when she hugged you, you could feel the love pouring over you. She was so proud of me moving to Calgary to chase my dreams, but hated that I was so far away. Whenever I would fly back east she would have me over for a special dinner of my favourite foods. I have learned so much from her, she is such a strong women that has gone through so much. It breaks my heart that I am not able to be there to say goodbye to her while she is still here, I am hoping I can make it home for the funeral to say goodbye.
